He was predeceased by: his mother Grace Rayburn Gibson; his wife Ann Smith Gibson; his father Oscar Samuel Gibson; and his sister Mildred Kimbrell. He is survived by: his children, Carol Upton (Tim) of Bay Springs, Bryan Gibson (Rhonda) of Wiggins, MS and Sammy Gibson (Jennie) of Wiggins, MS.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Service (1115 W College Ave, Wiggins, MS 39577). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (3083 MS-26, Wiggins, MS 39577).
