She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Ellis and Gladys Ellis; her husband Herbert Summers; and her sisters, Evelyn Johnson, Dottie Martin and Loretta McDaniel.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa Sproles (Gib), Jeff Summers (Maegen) and Lady Nix (Bubba); and her brother Max Ellis (Ann). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
