She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Hosie and Blanche Clark Waller of Virginia; her husbands, James Herbert Artman and Calvin George "Sankey" Thomas; her sister Josephine Waller Cassidy; and her nephew Robert Murray Hynum, Sr..

She is survived by : her niece Kim Hynum Thomas of Washington; and her nephew Ted Artman of Grenada.
