We are sad to announce that, on August 18, 2025, at the age of 94, Frances Ramsey Gardner of Winona, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Frances may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marshall Ramsey and Frances Hoyle Ramsey; her husband Rufus King Gardner; and her siblings, Mary Ann Clarke and Marshall Ramsey, Jr..
She is survived by: her sister Jane Ramsey of Irvine, California; and her children, Frances Gardner Rogers (James) of Monroe, Louisiana, Rufus Gardner, Jr. of Brooksville, Florida and Warren Gardner (Jean) of Grass Valley, California. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Warren F. Hoyle American Legion Post 82, 1628 S. Lafayette Street, Shelby, NC 28150, named in honor of Frances’ uncle.
