He was predeceased by: his father William Ruel; and his siblings, Ruel Nix and Wanda June Gunn. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Chrismond Nix; his children, Faye Matthews (Tommy) of Winona, Jerry C. "Bubba" Nix (Lady) of Winona and Renford Ruel "Bo" Nix (Stacey) of Lake Village, AR; and his sister Mozelle Ray of Kosciusko. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
