He was predeceased by: his parents, John Buchanan Gibson and Marjorie Dorris Gibson; his daughter Laura Paige Gibson; and his niece Wanda Strawbridge Perry. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jones Gibson; his daughters, Sandra Claire Gibson and Cynthia Kay Howard (Richard); his grandchildren, Rachel Paige, Emilee Elizabeth and Samuel Forrest Howard; his sister Sarah Alice Strawbridge (Joe); his nephew David Strawbridge; and his great-niece Ella Weiss Keeley (Adrian).
