She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Adams and Alice Hawkins Adams; her husband Kenneth E. Melton, Sr.; her daughter Debra Melton Corley; and her brothers, Lamar Adams, Marion Lee Adams and Wayne Adams.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Melton Carr of Florida, Carolyn Melton Hefner of North Carolina and Kenneth E. Melton, Jr. of Winona; her brother Dr. Bobby Adams of Meridian; and her grandchildren, Allen Carr, David Carr, Leanne Carr, Trea Feltman, Kayla Hamilton and Jeremy Black. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
