He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lyn Steed (Hoover); his parents, Newton Virgil and Hilda Mae Steed; his brother Kenneth; his sister-in-law Mary Steed of Parchman; and his brother Donald Mac Steed of Indianola.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin (Stephanie Steed), Toby (Dawn Steed, Jr.) and Chris (Mandy Steed); his grandchildren, Audriana Walworth (Shawn), Allen Baty (Anna), Katie-Noelle Faulkner (Taylor), Loren Dunn (David), Abby Young (Toby), Leggett Lin (Clayton), Sadie Steed, Dalton Steed and Ella Steed; his great grandchildren, Ethan Walworth, Ivy, Decker Baty, Blaire, Beau Dunn, Colt, Collson, Cayden Young, Leighton Faulkner and Callan Lin; his sister-in-law Linda Steed; his close friend Henry Topps; and his friends, Bill Waldrup, Lessie Kent, William, Pamela McClellan and Lisa Burton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
