He was predeceased by: his father Gus Hughes; and his wife Glenda Gregory Hughes. He is survived by: his mother Mary Idell Hughes of Woodland; his siblings, Linn Hughes (Darlene) of Woodland and Ellen Allen of Houston; his aunt Betty Haygood of Houston; and his brother-in-law Johnny Allen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
