He was predeceased by : his mother Annie Rene Ellzey Jones; and his sister Martha Frances Corley. He is survived by : his father Emmett Andrew Jones; his wife Carol Ann McIntosh; his son Robert Edward Jones (Robbie); his siblings, Teresa Ann Jones of Yazoo County and Thomas Eslie Jones (Patty) of Emory; his niece Stephanie Ellis; and his nephews, Jonathan Tubbs, Brian Tubbs and Thomas Jones.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation.
