She was predeceased by: her parents, Clurman Strickland and Betty Strickland; her brothers, Billy and Johnny Strickland; and her daughters, Debra Bennett and Jeannie Holloway.
She is survived by: her husband Rodney Hanks of Yazoo City; her children, Nathen Bennett, Jr. (Lacy) of Gautier, MS, Bobby Bennett (Samantha) of Tinsley, MS and Linda Sprague (Shawn) of Hattiesburg; her siblings, Ann McMillan of Yazoo City, MS, Robin Cantrell of Tinsley, MS, Polly Sheppard of Etowah, AR, Janet Field (Kelly) of Manila, AR, Marie Wilbanks of Manila, AR and Clurman Strickland III (Misty) of Lepanto, AR; and her stepchildren, Rodney Hanks, Jr. (Christian) of Lafayette, CO, Richard Hanks (Ann) of Lafayette, CO and Kristine Hines of Katie, TX.. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
