With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Johnson of Yazoo City, Mississippi, who passed away on July 1, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Walter may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Walter touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Scott Memorial Funeral Home (1401 E Broadway St, Yazoo City, MS 39194). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Pilgrim Rest MB Church (756 W 1st St, Yazoo City, MS 39194). A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at the Yazoo Memorial Park (850 Old Hwy 3, Yazoo City, MS 39194).
