He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Verlanic and Gladys Verlanic; his son Bruce Verlanic; his wife Bernice M. Kopp; his stepfather Patrick Laughlin (Pudgo); his sister Dorothy; his brother-in-law Jack Young; and his grandson Alec Tolon.
He is survived by: his daughter Kamala Verlanic; his brothers-in-law, Shirley (Duane Colwell) and Nick Kopp; his grandchildren, Trevor Denny, Rochelle Verlanic Anderson, Bridgett Verlanic, Alexandria Verlanic, Chris Ball and Marina Ball; and his great grandchildren, Alaiya, Jax, Braydon, Addilyn and Oaklynn. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (605 Clark St, Deer Lodge, MT 59722). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hillcrest Cemetery (343 Conley Lake Rd, Deer Lodge, MT 59722). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Elks Lodge #1737 (230 Main St, Deer Lodge, MT 59722).
