He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Scharf and Corrine Scharf; his brother Gene Scharf; and his sisters-in-law, Joan Scharf and Sharon Scharf.

He is survived by: his significant other Rick Chappel; and his brothers, Dale of Robins and Ron Scharf (Charlene) of Polaris, MT. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home (1800 Florence Ave, Butte, MT 59701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to local animal rescues which Randy was so fond of taking care of his animal sanctuary..
