He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Monahan and Mary "Map" Smith; and his brother Patrick Monahan. He is survived by: his children, Megan Monahan and Patrick Monahan; his daughter-in-law Amanda Monahan; his grandchildren, Madeline, Mackenzie and Max Monahan; his daughters, Maura Monahan and Allison Follmer; his son-in-law Luke Follmer; his sister Margaret "Peggy" Paull; his brother-in-law John Paull; his sister Lori Hester; his brother-in-law Curtis Hester; and his brother Donald "Donny" Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
