She was predeceased by : her parents, Flace Phebus and Selma Phebus (Gregerson); and her siblings, Drury Phebus, Gloria Dietz, Beverly Hill and Sharon Helgeson.

She is survived by : her husband Ron; her children, Lana Buerkle (Dan) of Plevna, Lance Shepherd (Jackie) of Baker and Chad Shepherd (Christina) of Ekalaka; her grandchildren, Bradn Buerkle (Natasha), Bryan Buerkle (Karen), Britt Buerkle (Nicole), Brook Newell (Michael), Selma Shepherd, Lane Shepherd (Caroline), Kendall Shepherd, Danica Shepherd, Allie Shepherd and Landry Shepherd; and her sister JoAnn Madler (Francis) of Spearfish, SD.. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stevenson Funeral Home (207 2nd Street Southwest, Baker, MT 59313). A prayer was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the American Lutheran Church (315 W Kewanee Ave, Baker, MT 59313).
