He was predeceased by: his parents, Matt Rom and Jean Rom of Klein; his brothers-in-law, Ray Birkett and Mike Knight; and his granddaughters, JoAnn and Jill Rue.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his daughters, Rhonda McCaughin (Andy), Roberta Elmer (Phillip) and Charla Wetsch (David); his grandchildren, Rebecca Pownall (Taylor), Brandon Wetsch, Hannah Elmer and Emiley Elmer; his great grandchild Hudson Pownall; and his sisters, Linda Birkett and Carol Knight.
