He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald McDowell and Joyce McDowell (Lampke); his wife Dorothy McDowell; his daughters, Jackie Groth (Derald), Samantha Adams (Joe) of Billings Montana and Brandi Grimm of Lafayette Louisiana; his siblings, Tom, Gary, Ronald, Mary Giessinger (Bill) and Karen Lemme (Randy); his sister-in-law Sheila McDowell; and his grandchildren, Feliciana Grimm, Veronica Grimm, Daniella McDowell, Zachary McDowell, Rachelle McDowell, Syerra Zuber, Oliver Doyle, Kyle Groth (Sarah Marschie) and Alec Groth.
