He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Pelican and Merrill; his stepfather Carson Griffin; his half-sister Georgia Ann Harpster; his stepsister Gay Ness; and his grandson Cole Pelican.
He is survived by: his brother Gary Townsend; his wife Connie Meyer; his children, Teresa Miller (Bobby), Lisa Pelican and Michael Pelican; his grandchildren, Amanda Miller, Clayton Miller (Valee), Fallon Hereim (Jordy) and Chance Pelican; and his great grandchild Cooley Miller.
