He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Fechner and Veronica Fechner; and his son Cory Fechner (Lisa Hoisington) of Lynn Haven, Florida. He is survived by: his former wife Debra "Debbie" Fechner; his wife Linda Fechner of Billings, Montana; his children, Kimberly Gilbert (Scott) of Cobb, Georgia and Keith Fechner (Jessica) of Tifton, Georgia; his grandchildren, Trenton Fechner, Peyton Gilbert, Tanner Fechner, Alexis Fechner, Taylor Fechner and Harrison Fechner; and his sisters, Gail Depack of Toms River and Donna Gadino (Joseph "Joe") of Beach Haven.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Smith West Chapel (304 34th St W, Billings, MT 59102). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:20 PM at the Yellowstone National Cemetery (55 Buffalo Trail Rd, Laurel, MT 59044).
