He was predeceased by: his parents, Alve Richey and Amelia Richey; his siblings, Tommy and Bonnie; and his grandson Mike.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Shelhamer; and his children, Jeff, Eric and Lora. He is also survived by 7 children, 21 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
