He was predeceased by: his parents, Eberhardt Hjelseth and Louise Hjelseth (Wetsch); and his siblings, Ray, Paula and Karen.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Wallace; and his children, Richard (Trinnetta), Kimberly Aasand (Grant) and Tammy Potter (Raymond). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous cousins.
