We announce the death of Hazel Jean Bayers of Billings, Montana, who passed away on July 11, 2026, at the age of 96. Hazel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her sister Helen; her husbands, Kent and Jack (Jack); her son George; her grandson Dane; and her great grandchild Mara.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Thornton (Keith) of Lacey, Washington, Leitha Jean "Punky" Dennis (Paul) of Lacey, Washington, Jacque Hansen of Billings and John Bayers (Robyn) of Billings; her grandchildren, Alex (Amanda), Leah (Brett), Kara (Steve), Andrea (Kevin), Tami (Jerry), Troy, Gunnar (Clancee) and Devon (Julia); her nieces, Dale, Rae and Tracy; and her pet Tater. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, extended family members, dear friends.
