He is survived by: his pet Spazzie; his grandsons, Sebastian Lester and Roman Emmerson; his siblings, Barry Buckles, Kevin Buckles (Lavonne), Patrick Buckles, Cheryl Fox, Agnes Sissy Little and Pamela Medina Buckles; his nieces and nephews, Calvin, Frederick Lester, Michael Medina, Patrick Little, Patrick Buckles, Jovaughn White Hawk, T. J. Buckles, Josiah Bouchie, Adriann Buckles, Kaileen O'Brien, Amanda Buckles, Aggie Little, Kassie Buckles, Mariah Medina, Kelly Bouchie, Kasten, Tenneyson Lester, Kodey, Nixon Lester and Kaniel Ricker; his granddaughter Aden Black; and his uncles, Fred Buckles (Olivia) and Bobby Dean Buckles (Mary).
