With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Brown of Billings, Montana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 15, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janet Brown to pay them a last tribute.
Though Janet may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Janet touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Austin and Martha Austin (Guslander); her husband Russell; her brother Harry Austin; and her daughter-in-law Anita Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Remington (Randy), Gene Brown, Kelly Blackford (Paul) and Glen Brown (Holly); her sister Helen Austin; and her sister-in-law Sally Austin. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Olive Lutheran Church (2336 St Johns Ave, Billings, MT 59102).
