He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Carlos; his children, Joe Carlos Jr., Kenneth Carlos and Mary Mott; and his sister Delores Amadore.

He is survived by: his children, Shawna Morales (Wes), Teresa Repkie and Ricky Carlos. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
