He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Wheaton and Phyllis Wheaton (Wagner); and his brother Mike. He is survived by: his wife Kathy (White); his sons, Dennis (Jacquie) and John Paul (Amanda); his brothers, David (Jeanne), Richard (Debbie), Jeff (Marie) and Kevin (Dianna); and his grandchildren, Taya, Annaka, Kadynce of Kinleigh, JJ and Elijah.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Chapels (925 S 27th St, Billings, MT 59101). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Terrace Gardens Cemetery (304 34th St W, Billings, MT 59102).
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children.
