With solemn reverence, we commemorate Richard James Ruff (Billings, Montana), whose life came to an end on May 14, 2026 at the age of 90, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Colonel Henry Ruff and Clara G. Reichenberg (Ruff); his grandparents, David Ruff and Katherine Ruff (Stromberger); his wife Verna M. Ruff (Barr); and his grandson Nathan Ruff.
He is survived by: his children, Randy (Carrie) of Potomac Valley and Nancy (Billings); his sister-in-law Dolly (Barr) Krug (Billings); his sister Karin (Barry); and his grandchildren, Quinesha, Kevin and Jacob. He is also survived by great grandchildren, and (1) great great grandchild, and many cousins, neices and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary (1001 Alderson Ave, Billings, MT 59102). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park (3605 Grand Ave, Billings, MT 59102).
