He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Gess and Alma Gess; and his siblings, Victor Gess and Lorraine (Morrison). He is survived by: his sister Helen (Robbins); his daughters, Sandi (Scott Olsen) of Rapid City, SD, Shanon (Jody Bencker) of Bismarck, ND and Deanna (Shilo Shumway) of Williston, ND.; his grandchildren, Alexa Olsen, Riley Olsen, Cory Bencker, Tiffany (McKennon Vetter), Devan Shumway, Micade Shumway and Niah Shumway; and his great grandchild Declan Vetter.
