With sadness, we share the passing of Ron Olson of Billings, Montana. Ron, born on May 18, 1937, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Myrtle Olson (Zahler); his brothers, Ray (Pat) and Randy (Janice); his nephew Ronnie Olson; his son-in-law Eric Thorsgard; and his brother-in-law Dan Morton.
He is survived by: his father Arthur Olson; his wife LaVonne; his children, Grace Stewart (James), Gwendolyn Sieler (David), Grant Olson (Bethany) and Gerri Ann Thorsgard (Eric); his grandchildren, Faith, Liesl, Lara Stewart, Monica (Tim Schutter), Madelyn (Tyler Boyer), Shel Sieler (Stephanie), Elliot (Rachel), Sethan (Melissa), Clarke, Olivia, Estelle Olson, Tragg (Madelyn), Haakan (Emma), Brekt, Aksel, Erin and Rava Thorsgard; his great grandchildren, Gloria, Ezekiel, Jacob, Josephine, Thomas Schutter, Abraham, Victor, Jacquelyn Boyer, Mirabella, Ruthie Olson, Azariah and Harrison Olson; David Carlson (Nancy), Murna Hansemann (Bruce), Rosemary Morton (Dan) and Daniel Carlson (Kathy).
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Heights Family Funeral Home (733 W Wicks Ln, Billings, MT 59105). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
Donations may be given to Provision International or the Gideons International in memory of Ron.
