She was predeceased by: her parents, Bobbi Poindexter and Patsy Poindexter; her brother Dana Pointexter; and her son Michael. She is survived by: her children, Lona Fonville and Richard Fonville; her stepdaughter Amanda Huftalen; her grandchildren, Edward, Abigail and Oliver; her great grandchildren, Tobias and Lincoln; and her siblings, Anthony Poindexter and Theresa Hendricks.
