She was predeceased by: her mother Nellie Shear Joy; her grandmother Lottie Gessell Shear; her great-grandparent Narcissa Simmons Gessell; her husband Jennings Broadus Woodson Jr.; her father Fred Cecil Joy; and her son Frederick Jennings Woodson.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Ann Woodson (Matt Fettig) of Montana and John William Woodson (Gina Woodson) of New Mexico; and her grandsons, William Jennings Woodson of Colorado and Louis Keever Woodson of Texas.
