He was predeceased by: his parents, Leona and Donald; and his brother Loren. He is survived by: his wife Tami Hempel; his children, Jennifer Paterson (Stephen), Jessica Felchle (Scott), Jacqueline Gerstner (Colin) and Jacob Haan (Bethany); his foster son Blake Campos; his grandchildren, Elijah Gerstner, Nathan Paterson, Luke Gerstner, Noah Felchle, Isaac Gerstner, Hope Gerstner, Henry Haan, Gabriel Felchle, Alice Paterson, Liam Haan, Benjamin Felchle, Brooklyn Haan and Baby Haan; his sister Dr. Constance Haan; his sisters-in-law, Gayle Hanisch (Roger) and Brenda Haan (Loren); his niece Samantha Haan; and his nephews, Andrew Hanisch and Alexander Hanisch. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Rocky Mountain Community Church or Riverstone Hospice.
