He was predeceased by: his parents, Lambert Vandersloot and Katherine Feller Vandersloot; and his siblings, Bert Vandersloot, Lucille Soltez and Dorothy Miner.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Marie Cormier; his sons, Thomas Scott (Suzy), Joseph Todd (Pam) and Perry John (Janet); and his grandchildren, Katie Fyfe (Lance), Samantha Vandersloot (Tyson), Emily Johnson (Justin), Casey Vandersloot, Cody Vandersloot, Cassandra Wermann (Bryce), Alyssa Vandersloot and Levi Vandersloot (Lindsay). He is also survived by his 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Bighorn Historical Society or Project Hope.
