He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joel Townsend and Bernice McCracken Townsend; and his children, Michelle Marie Townsend and Marc Edward Townsend. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Bilinda Kay Wong (Nathan Liang) of Sandy, Utah, Wendy Lee Bjazevich (Andrew Paul) of St. George, Utah, William Bradley Townsend (Michelle Ann) of Roseburg, Oregon, Nicholle Kristine Dods (Anthony Neil) of Fresno, California, Remington Meyer Townsend (Melissa Fowler) of Billings, Montana and Cameron James Townsend (Kari Jean) of Billings, Montana; and his sisters, Rebecca (Becky), Luella Ballstaedt (Paul Taylor) and Colleen Townsend Shumway (Lynn Andrew). He is also survived by thirty-two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Latter-Day Saints Chapel (3595 Monad Rd, Billings, MT 59102). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
