He was predeceased by: his parents, Scott H. McDaniel and Gladys Grantham; his siblings, Mary Lee Hallman and Scott H. McDaniel; and his wife Anna of Billings Montana.

He is survived by: his son James Scott McDaniel of San Bernardino, CA; his daughter-in-law Michelle R. McDaniel of San Bernardino, CA; his granddaughter Rayne L. McDaniel of San Bernardino, CA; his stepdaughter Deborah Lynn Warren; his stepgrandchildren, Nathan, Emily and Caleb Warren of Billings, MT; his stepson Richard William Steiner of Redding, CA; and his sisters, Betty Jo Grierson of Pascagoula, MS and Evelyn Anderson of Grapevine, TX..
