He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Backlin and Helen Backlin (Dyrland); his wife Roberta "Bert" Pruitt; his brother Lyle; and his children, Dan Backlin (Michele) of Townsend, MT, Laura Weitzel (Steve) of Portland, OR and Linda Hayden (Dale) of Belgrade, MT. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
