He is survived by: his daughters, Becky Johnson (Lloyd) of Gardiner, Jardine and Wendy Thomas (Jerry) of Gardiner, MT; his grandchild Tess Thomas of Reed Point, MT; his daughter Clancy Thomas of Gardiner, MT; his siblings, Julie Perkins (Dwight) of Boston, MA, Mary Swanson (Jon) of Charlottesville, VA and John Rate of Anchorage, AK; and his nephew Alex Rate (Jenny Harbine) of Livingston, MT..
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Yellowstone River Lodge (1037 US Hwy 89 S, Gardiner, MT 59030).
