“Diane and family, We are so sorry for your loss. As you know, Jim was a great man and he positively influenced many people. My son became an elementary school teacher because of he and Peter Jacoby's influence when he was "growing up" in the schools. I also appreciated his willingness to share his faith with everyone in the community via his service to the less fortunate. Jim was an occasional guest speaker for Grand Avenue Christian Church and we always appreciated his messages to us.”

“To the Family of Jim: Saddened to hear of your loss. I grew up with Jim attending Tumwater Grade School and than Olympia High School. As happens in life, classmates go forward and move in different directions not always able to be in touch. Jim was unable to make the last reunion but I was fortunate to have talked to him on the phone a week or so later and am thankful I had that opportunity.
