As we bid John McDonnell farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For John McDonnell is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his son Donald; his parents, Dr. John C. Harkin and Elizabeth Harkin; and his sisters, Betty Lou Kitzman, Janet Bourgeois and Joan Saari.
He is survived by: his wife Suzette Harkin; his former wife Jean; his stepchildren, Russell Neville and Cory Talbott; Sherri Harkin and James Harkin. He is also survived by six grandchildren, along with a host of other family and friends.
