He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Platt and Helen Platt; and his siblings, Richard Jr., Ralph and Elaine.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Ann of Livingston; his daughter Lisa Lowy (Jeff) of Livingston; his grandchildren, Jacob (Kendra) of Idaho, Hannah (Paden Andersen) of Paradise Valley and Sarah Rose (Alex Delorey) of Livingston; his great grandchildren, Delaney, Everett, Waylen, Jackson and Max; his brother Allan Platt (Beth) of Eastford, CT; his sister-in-law Alma Ryan (Sam) of Parkman, ME; Keli Crecco (Anthony) of Watertown, CT and Rachel Kimmel (Warren) of El Paso, TX.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
