He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Cornelia and James Norman Holter, Sr.; and his brother Phillip Walter. He is survived by: his brother James Norman Jr.; his former wife Mary Brewster DeJarnette of Missoula; his children, Paula Templin, Anthony Zammit, Elizabeth Inderbitzen, Susan Hanson, Matthew, Nathan and Robert Lewis Holter; his grandchildren, Alex, Olivia Grace and Sophia; his wife Lois Trent James of Great Falls; his family, Rick Davenport and Marsha Maynard; and also Mary Evelyn Zammit (Phillip) of Spokane. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
