He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Mackey and Zaretta Mackey; and his siblings, Dan Mackey, Jim Hill and Barbara Hill Mackey.

He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Mackey of Butte; his children, Regina Martin (Jason) of Missoula and Brian Mackey (Stephanie) of Billings; and his grandchildren, Dayne Martin, Anna Martin and Evelyn Mackey. He is also survived by neighbors, and friends.
