He was predeceased by : his parents, John James Griffith and Grace Fidelis Griffith (Hammers); his siblings, John, Robert, Richard, Katherine, Phyllis and Betty; and his brother-in-law George Boston.

He is survived by : his wife Colleen Griffith (Mulcahy); and his children, Maureen Martell (Vern), Donald Griffith (Barbara), Colleen Rudio (Jeff), May Lodge (Howard) and Katie Haxby (Jerry). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
