With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Joseph Murphy of Butte, Montana, who passed away on April 10, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Murphy (Jaula) and Irene Murphy; his son Ryan; and his brother Daniel C. Murphy of Denver. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Sennett; his children, Shawna, Marc (Patty) and Zach (Timbre); his grandchildren, Alex (Kaley), Lexie, Kailee (Josh), Jaula and McKinley; his great grandchildren, Mia, CeCe and Bennett; and his sister LuAnn Petersen (Bud) of Spokane.

In his memory, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
