John Ernest Welter Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Ernest Welter of Butte, Montana, who passed away on December 28, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Welter (Risley) and Richard Welter; his brother Tom; his siblings-in-law, Nancy Welter, Tim Merritt and Murv Fanning; and his grandson Bradly Kessler.

He is survived by: his wife Margie (Margie); his daughters, Marcie (Greg Kessler) and Sherrie (Adam Clark); his grandchildren, Connor, Zack Kessler, Kyla and AJ Clark; his sister Marylynn Merritt; and his siblings-in-law, Bill, Dee Fisher and Connie Fanning.

In lieu of the flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of the donors choice.
