He was predeceased by : his parents, John Marvin and Anna Marvin (Kranitz); his sister Joan; his siblings-in-law, Ted Miller, Linda Heard, Bill and Herb Heard; and his granddaughter Katrina Modlin.

He is survived by : his wife Jo Ann Heard of Joseph's Church; his children, Debbie (Dave Martinich), Cindy (Tom Tuttle) and John; his daughter-in-law Michele Marvin of Billings; his grandchildren, David Allen Martinich (Brady Laramie), Jerica Lane (Brandon), Denton Martinich (Kyanna), Holly Compton (Tim) and Josh Modlin; his great grandchild Acen Martinich; his brother Bob; his siblings-in-law, Debbie Marvin of Billings, Patsy Marshall (Ray) of Butte, Ed Heard of Butte, Barb Heard and Sally Heard; and his caregiver Robin (Jorden) of Senior Solutions. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
