He was predeceased by: his parents, George Larango and Mary Larango; his wife Penny Larango; his brother Ben Larango (Mary Lou); his mother-in-law Evelyn Russell (Ted); and his pet Charlie.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Larango (Lynette) and Michelle Kelly (Mike); his sister-in-law Nancy Barber (Roger); his pet Asta; his grandchildren, Brianne Larango (Christian Reid), Matthew Larango (Catherine), Jake Kelly (Erin), Ashley Kelly and Andy Kelly (Mary Beth); and his great grandchildren, Kenian Kranz, Kobe, Avery Reid, Declan, Oscar, Sloane Kelly, Sage, Knox Williams, Penelope and Theodore Larango.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church (4201 Continental Dr, Butte, MT 59701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at the Mountain View Cemetery (3910 Harrison Ave, Butte, MT 59701).
In lieu of flowers, Sam's family requests that memorial donations be made to the Butte Sheltered Workshop or Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration of Montana, 3020 18th Avenue South, Great Falls, Montana 59405.
