We announce the death of William James Peterson of Butte, Montana, who passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 90. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lill Peterson and Russ Peterson; his wife Georgia Lowney; his children, Judi and Danny; his great grandchild Reese; his parents-in-law, Jim and Lorene Lowney; his sister Donna Rigney; his siblings-in-law, June Lowney, Luella and Ed Rogers; and his nephew Rick Rigney.
He is survived by: his children, Connie (Ron Beck), Cyndi (Mat Johnson) and Bill; his daughter-in-law Mandy Peterson; his grandchildren, Josh Coulombe (Jenn), Sarah Coulombe (Trisha), Zach Coulombe (Chealsea), Allison Strekal (Edan), Heather Peterson (Patrick), Cody Peterson and Gerald Croghan; his great grandchildren, Brooklynn, Ryker, Danika, Elaina, Piper and Declan; his brother-in-law Dick Rigney (Louise); his sons-in-law, Jim Summers and Mike Coulombe; and his nieces and nephews, Deb Harvey, Becky Rigney, Marji Fosjord, Tina Knote, John Rigney, Lynn Brown, Jim Rogers and Mike Rogers.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Uno's Lounge (3235 Harrison Ave, Butte, MT 59701).
