He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Stanley and Harriet Stanley (Banister); his brother Orville John; and his parents-in-law, Bud and Mary.

He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Burkhart; his children, Matthew (Adri) and Meghan (Don); his brother Curt (Karla); his nephew Ross (Leah); his niece Mimi; and his brothers, Tom (Deb) and Mikaela (Dallas).
